It’s only a matter of months before the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is set to commence. As the window of time shrinks, Markle is quickly getting to know her family-in-law-to-be. This week Markle joined The Queen at Westminister Abbey for a Commonwealth Day service, one of the monarch’s most important and distinguished events of the year. This is a huge step forward for the Suits actress’s acceptance into the royal family.
The Belfast Telegraph reported on the latest developments inside the royal family. It is the first time Meghan Markle has taken part at an event with the Queen, marking a monumental moment for the princess-to-be. She was also joined by Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William, as seen below. As you would expect, both Middleton and Markle looked positively ravishing in their formal attire for the important celebration, earning many greetings and good cheers from the adoring public watching them arrive.

Commonwealth Day is considered a day of opportunity for the institution’s 53 member states. It’s meant to highlight the positive values of the family of nations, and it’s one of the Queen’s most prided celebrations under her rule. In the Queen’s Commonwealth Day message, she took the moment to praise the “Commonwealth connection” that continues allowing people from various nations to bond. The Queen also celebrated the nation’s diversity. This celebration has played a very important role in the Queen’s reign. You can watch a clip from the ceremony below, courtesy of the Royal Family.

This is certainly not the first time Meghan Markle has gotten adjusted to the life of royalty of late. A week ago, it was revealed that Markle was following in Kate Middleton’s footsteps by adopting the Duchess Slant, a signature move that Kate Middleton has perfected through her time in the royal family. Some people might think that’s copying, but if anything, it’s a form of respect. She is learning to fit into the family, and this is an important moment.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to wed on May 19th in the Windsor Castle. It will be broadcasted live. The preparations are being made now, with an estimated guest list of over 2,000 people expected to arrive on that fateful day. That potentially includes a couple of Prince Harry’s famous exes, along with Elton John and Ed Sheeran. You know who else is invited to the Royal Wedding? The Spice Girls! And guess what? They might be performing their first concert in years during the reception. That hasn’t been confirmed, necessarily, but it was suggested by Mel B., i.e. Scary Spice.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement back in November. Since then, Markle has been fitting into the royal family quite nicely.
