Production on Netflix’s has officially ended. Henry Cavill gave the update on social media complete with a photo of himself in the hair and makeup chair. In the commemorative post, Cavill offers special thanks to those who worked on the show’s first season. Check it out below:
In his message, Henry Cavill thanks the women who made his journey doing “a good one.” What is the most upsetting thing that he reveals in his post? That would, absolutely, be those 3 a.m. wake up calls. That does not sound at all pleasant to me, or most people, I’m sure. The things that some endure for the art of television.
Another interesting aspect is how he mentions his character, Geralt of Rivia, “evolving” during production. That will be something for fans of to look out for when the series premieres on Netflix. Last year, Netflix gave fans a look at a hard to recognize Henry Cavill as Geralt. They also revealed something else.
Nestled at the end of the brief first look video was a message, and it stated that ’s first season would be coming in 2019. Netflix has since revealed that the series will bow in the final quarter of the year.
Given that we are all quite a bit into the year, it should not be too much longer now, but it seems that summer series will have to help pass the time. Having production on the show end is a massive milestone on ’s timetable. It has been a considerable journey to get to this point. The series found its showrunner back in late 2017.
Henry Cavill has been keeping his fans abreast of the series’ progress on Instagram. Last month, he shared a photo of himself revealing a scar from production. He has put a lot into this project.
Based on his caption, Henry Cavill seems happy with the way things went. If is a hit on Netflix, viewers could theoretically see it continue. Season 1 will unfold over eight episodes. In other words, it will be like four movies. That is a lot to look forward to for those who are already fans of the character or those who are just ready to enjoy a new fantasy show, in general.
